THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Polls are now closed for the Saturday, May 7 Joint Election. Here are some select Montgomery County and Woodlands area results based purely on absentee and early voting numbers.
Texas Proposition 1 -- Property tax reducttion for elderly and disabled -- FOR 17,241 (90.97%) / AGAINST 1,711 (9.03%)
Texas Proposition 2 -- Raise homestead exemption to $40,000 -- FOR 17,638 (91.70%) / AGAINST 1,596 (8.30%)
City of Shenandoah Mayor -- John Escoto 223 (63.71%) / Esther Lum 127 (36.29%)
The Woodlands MUD No. 1 Director -- Robert Leilich 182 (33.27%) / Walt Lisiewski 193 (35.28%) / Steve Lawrence 172 (31.44%)
