6 Safety Classes in The Woodlands Area This Month
Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Personal Safety Class is Jan 15 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at South Regional Library. The class will cover how to identify potential safety risks, tips on how to ensure your safety and avoid becoming a victim, vehicle and ridesharing safety, as well as crime prevention tactics for your home.
The Montgomery County Public Health Medical Reserve Corp Stop The Bleed Class is Jan 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 1400 South Loop West in Conroe. The Stop the Bleed campaign is focused on improving the resiliency of our nation by teaching bystanders how to save lives through stopping traumatic bleeding in the event of an emergency or disaster.
Street Grace Keeping Kids Safe in the Digital Age Class is Jan 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Woodlands Community Church. This seminar is intended to teach parents/teachers/friends/anyone who has dealings with minors how technology is putting youth at risk for sex trafficking - and how you can keep them safe.
The Woodlands Township Wilderness Survival Class for ages 14 and up is Jan 19 from 1:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. at Rob Fleming Rec Center. Participants will learn about the survival mind-set, conventional and alternative fire methods, signaling, water collection, protection from the elements, and more in a fun way.
Refresher Senior Driving Class for AARP Members & Non-Members ages 55 years and up is Jan 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at The Conservatory at Alden Bridge. Cars have changed and so have traffic rules, driving conditions, and the roads you travel every day. By taking an AARP driver safety class, you will learn how to operate your vehicle more safely in today's environment.
