Rowing Club of The Woodlands helps clean the community
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Rowing Club of The Woodlands was in full force Saturday morning in their quarterly “Community Clean Up Day”. In an act of community service, members of the organization set out early to clean up the pathways around Lake Woodlands. It’s a chance to give back to the community and keep their home looking clean. The rowing club tries to do this event at least three times a year.
Usually, summer is a chance for leisure and resting, Rowing Club of The Woodlands instead, took the
opportunity to help its community. Armed with disposal gloves and trash bags, the rowers quickly got to
work. After a few hours, the club had already filled up a dozen bags. This event was not tied to any
specific social cause or foundation, but as an act of virtue, and to set a precedent on how a sporting
clubs should treat their community. Rowing Club of The Woodlands is a class act organization.
