Professional Profile

Collectively, our team has over 75 years of experience with Merrill Lynch and Bank of America. We currently oversee more than $1 billion in assets for successful families, business owners and executives.

We consult with our clients regarding their life goals and how to accomplish them. This includes detailed analysis on cash-flow, financial planning, trust & estate planning and portfolio management. We are dedicated to the prudent stewardship of our clients’ wealth with the highest level of personalized client service.

Brent Chappell began working in the financial services industry in 2002. He was an honors student at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with dual degrees in Finance and Spanish. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM, CFP® certificant, awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc, and also earned the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, CRPC®. He was accepted into MENSA in 2006, and is a PIA Portfolio Manager. Brent received his CIMA® designation from IMCA® after completing executive education in investment management from the Wharton Business School. Brent and his wife Elizabeth reside in The Woodlands with their 3 Children.

Brad Chappell began working in the Financial Services industry in 2004. He graduated with honors from The University of Texas with a BBA in Finance. Before transferring to The University of Texas, Brad was the captain of his collegiate basketball team at Southern Virginia University. Brad is a licensed Financial Advisor, and earned the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor. He also received his CIMA® designation from IMCA®, which is taught in conjunction with The Wharton Business School, and is a Personal Investment Advisory ® Program Portfolio Manager. Having spent 2 years as a missionary in Brazil, Brad is fluent in Portuguese. Brad, his wife Elizabeth, and their 3 children reside in Spring.

Michael Mills began working in the Financial Services industry in 2008. He graduated from Texas Christian University with a BS in Advertising/Public Relations. Prior to joining The Chappell Group he worked for a Real Estate private equity company in Dallas where he served as Vice President of Capital Markets. Michael, his wife Kristie, and his 2 daughters reside in Montgomery. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® certificant, awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., Analyst-Relationship Manager, and holds a Series 7, Series 66 and Series 31 FINRA registrations.

Spencer Carlson has been working in the Financial Services industry since 2012. Before joining The Chappell Group, Spencer was a Pension Actuary at Aon Hewitt. Spencer studied Actuarial Science and Financial Mathematics at Brigham young University. Spencer spent 2 years as a missionary in Mexico, and is fluent in Spanish. He enjoys cycling and spending time with this wife and 2 sons. He is a CFA® Charterholder and holds Series 7, Series 66 and Series 31 FINRA registrations.

Jake Moon is a graduate of Utah Valley University and has been in the financial services industry since 2006. He joined Merrill Lynch in 2010. His focus is on developing strategies and providing advice for individuals, their families and their businesses by understanding their short-and long-term financial objectives. Jake holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation and he holds his Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA registrations. He and his wife, Michelle Chappell Moon, live in The Woodlands with their 4 children.

Jaymie Wendt is a graduate of Texas A&M University and played college basketball at Abilene Christian University. She has been a family friend of the Chappell’s for the last 15 years. Before joining The Chappell Group in 2014, Jaymie worked as a personal trainer, helping her clients achieve their fitness and health goals. She assists clients with account administration services and resides in Conroe with her husband and daughter. She holds Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA registrations.

Brianna Warren is a graduate of Sam Houston State University. Before she joined The Chappell Group in 2015, she was an elementary school teacher where she not only guided young children, but was also a team leader. She resides in Montgomery with her husband and son. She assists with client service and account administration. She holds Series 7 FINRA registration.

Ronna Atkinson graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in modern dance. In the early years she danced professionally and ran her own dance studio. She is a wife and mother of 3 adult daughters. She joined the Chappell Group in 2018 and assists with client service and account administration.
