RECEPTIONIST / Front Desk Agent

Ability & Beyond in the Woodlands is a state of the art pediatric therapy practice aiming to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. Our goal is to empower children and their families, and to support them by helping them develop the skills needed to confidently and effectively partake in activities at home, at school and in the community.

Our steady growth in the Woodlands area has created a challenging career opportunity for a full-time Receptionist / Scheduler / Public Relations Specialist. We are interviewing articulate and hard-working candidates with excellent interpersonal skills who are able to build relationships with patients and their families to provide a warm, welcoming environment. Candidates must also have the skills to interface with doctors offices and be able to provide good information over the phone to prospective clients, as well as provide information to health professionals about our services.

The person for this position will be responsible for greeting patients, obtaining new patient information, maintaining patient’s electronic medical records, and directing incoming calls in a courteous manner. The right person for this job will be someone who is self motivated, who sees the whole picture and fills in where needed without having to be asked. This person will be a part of other support duties which contribute to the overall efficiency and running of the office, such as:


Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintaining schedules for therapy and client visits
Requesting and filing doctors orders and evaluations
Maintaining client files and records
Invoicing/Collecting co-payments and co-insurance
Maintaining schedules for patient evaluations and services
Reconcile billing errors on a daily basis
Guest Services
Managing Social Media
Other duties as assigned by manager
Coordination of office activities

Requirements for this position:
College degree preferred
Medical billing and/or administrative experience preferred
Willingness to work flexible after school hours as we see patients M-F between 8:00AM–6:00 PM.COVID-19 considerations:
We are monitoring CDC and TX Department of Health Guidelines and modifying our protocols to meet their recommendations. We do a health screening, check temperatures, disinfect assiduously and require masks. We require all members of our staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
