Job Description

Growing CPA firm located in The Woodlands is seeking a motivated accounting professional to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with firm management on all aspects of tax and accounting engagements for businesses and individuals. This position represents an excellent growth opportunity for a career-minded professional in a family-oriented CPA firm. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Key responsibilities include:
• Preparation of individual and business entities' income tax returns
• Tax planning and advisory services
• Tax and accounting research projects
• Build relationships with clients through direct communication
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects and competing deadlines
• Recruit new clients through professional networking and other standard channels
• Review work of staff associates and provide professional feedback and guidance

Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Experience with Thomson Reuters UltraTax tax preparation software
• Experience working with high net worth clients

Skills Required

• Valid US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal income taxation
• Experience working in a public accounting firm
• Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
• Experience researching and reporting on tax related questions
• Strong work ethic with a particular emphasis on professional integrity and reliability
• Problem solving ability and attention to detail
• Willingness to embrace a paperless workplace and digital project management
