TIRR Memorial Hermann-The Woodlands awarded for excellence in rehabilitation
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International announced that TIRR Memorial Hermann-The Woodlands has been accredited for a period of three years for its inpatient rehabilitation programs-hospital (adult). This is the first accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has awarded to TIRR Memorial Hermann-The Woodlands.
“We are proud of our team at TIRR Memorial Hermann-The Woodlands and what they have accomplished,” says Jerry Ashworth, Interim CEO, TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital. “This accreditation confirms the same world-class, innovative, high quality rehabilitation care you expect from TIRR Memorial Hermann is also available at TIRR Memorial Hermann-The Woodlands.”
This recognition represents the highest level of rehabilitation facility accreditation awarded by CARF. By receiving this recognition, an organization has demonstrated its conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
“We’re always striving to provide the highest quality of care for our patients,” said Josh Urban, senior vice president and CEO of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. “Obtaining the CARF accreditation further demonstrates that when patients receive rehabilitation care here, they’re going to be taken care of by the best trained rehabilitation professionals who are well prepared to aid them in regaining the necessary skills to return to their active lives.”
TIRR Memorial Hermann-The Woodlands offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to patients with neurological injury or illness including stroke, physical weakness from injury or illness, and medically complex diagnoses to re-engage in full and meaningful lives.
