THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- On Dec. 6, more than 100 guests gathered at the home of Stacey and Steve Bourque for the second annual Ambassadors for Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands Holiday Party.

Guests were greeted by a trio of carolers, a twinkling Christmas tree and cheerful holiday décor, including an abundance of poinsettias, that brought the spirit of the season to life in the Bourques’ conservatory. And while “no cream-colored ponies or crisp apple strudels” were to be found, signature cocktails and gourmet bites were in abundance. Guests nibbled on boiled shrimp, beef tenderloin, black-eyed pea fritters, truffle macaroni cheese and gumbo – a nod to the Bourque’s New Orleans heritage – catered by A Fare Extraordinaire.

Stacey Bourque welcomed guests and presented the group’s annual check (an incredible $819,000) to Michelle Riley-Brown, president, Dr. Charles Hankins, chief medical officer, and Dr. Jeff Shilt, chief surgical officer of Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands.

Also seen merrymaking: Shirley and Ralph Alexander, Noelle and Davis Jahncke, Joann and Wayne Malik, Ally and Mike Seder and Judy and Glenn Smith.

Guests celebrated and gave back by donating gift cards that will be used to stock birthday closets of pediatric patients, a Texas Children’s Hospital tradition cherished by patients and their families.
