THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Arts Council presents the 13 th annual Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, set for Saturday, April 7 from 10 am – 6 pm and Sunday, April 8 from 10 am – 5 pm in Town Green Park and along the scenic banks of The Woodlands Waterway.
Ranked among the top arts festivals in the country by Art Fair SourceBook, the festival features over 200 juried artists, live musical performances on four stages, children’s hands-on arts activities at Artopoly, culinary demonstrations at the Art of Food, the Student Art Scholarship Exhibit, plus food and beverages from a variety of popular restaurants.
The award-winning art represents a wide array of mediums including painting, drawing, jewelry, clay, wood, metal, fiber, glass, pottery, photography and mixed media. Live performances will showcase local and regional Texas talent that is the perfect accompaniment to strolling along The Waterway shopping for great art.
The festival is a wonderful place to instill an early love of art in children. Young festival- goers can have fun creating their own artwork to take home at Artopoly. They can start their own art collection at the Early Inspiration Gallery, where they can purchase an original piece of student art for $5. There’s also plenty of extraordinary art to see at the Student Art Scholarship Exhibition. And festival-goers of all ages can discover their ‘inner artist’ and give back to the community by participating in a community art project.
Don’t miss this spectacular annual event! Tickets and more information are available online at www.thewoodlandsartscouncil.org. Weekend passes are $15 online, or $17 at the gate. Seniors may purchase discounted tickets, and children 12 and under are admitted free.
