Registration now on for INSPIRE Homeschool Conference through July 24
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Registration is going on now for the annual INSPIRE Homeschool Conference that will be held at REC – The Recreational Enrichment Center, located at 1540 Sawdust Road in The Woodlands, on August 2-3. Registration, which includes a brunch and childcare during the conference at no extra cost for attendees, will close on Wednesday, July 24.
The conference is designed for parents whether or not their children are homeschooled, educators and teachers, and members of the community interested in the state of the local educational system.
“We are delighted to announce Paula Spencer as our keynote speaker at this year’s conference,” said Karri Bledsoe, director of REC and the INSPIRE Conference. “Paula is renowned as a homeschooling expert as well as being the founder of the acclaimed Joyful Sound! Choir.” Also scheduled to present are an attorney for HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association); Jube Dankworth, director of Texas Home Educators (a statewide homeschool service organization), and Renee LoDolce of College Out of the Box.
The two-day conference will kick off on the Friday with a Teacher Appreciation Brunch and keynote speech at 10:00 a.m., followed by a full day of breakout sessions with expert panels and interactive presentations, and then a supply shopping/planning session. Saturday will see the vendor hall open at 9:00 a.m. and run until 6:00 that evening, with more breakout sessions throughout the day that cover a myriad of topics for parents and educators alike.
