Magnolia High School Hosts Fine Arts Signing Day for Students
MAGONLIA, TX -- Family, friends and faculty gathered for the inaugural Magnolia High School Fine Arts Signing Day. The event included 12 students from Band, Dance, Choir, Theater, and Cheer who will be continuing their fine arts studies in their post-secondary education.
Congratulations to the following students:
Band:
Miguel Vasquez will be attending the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana where he plans to study aerospace engineering and perform the saxophone in the school band and other ensembles.
Jace Mitchell accepted an offer to play lacrosse and major in business at Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina. He will be performing in the french horn section of the Barton/Wilson orchestra.
Cole Maney will be majoring in music education at Sam Houston State University. Cole is a multi-instrumentalist, performing bass clarinet and saxophone.
Cheer:
Payten Moynahan was one of 32 finalists selected out of almost 100 contestants for the University of Oklahoma cheerleading team. She will be majoring in Health and Exercise Science.
Choir:
Carlin Holton will be attending the University of Missouri Kansas City Conservatory with the intention of a future in performance and education.
Tyler Hansen plans to attend St. Olaf College in Minnesota in the Fall and will be pursuing a music education degree with a focus on choral studies.
Jake Bullard began his musical career in a production of Seussical the Musical in 2018 and will be attending Pepperdine University in the Fall.
Shelby Wooldridge will be continuing her singing career at Sam Houston State University where she will be majoring in vocal performance.
Dance:
Megan Larkins will be attending Baylor University to study Communications and will be performing as a Song Leader on the Baylor Spirit Team.
Molly Cardenas will be a member of the Texas State Strutters Dance team at Texas State University where she plans on majoring in Nursing.
Fashion:
Lohr Cykoski will continue her fine arts studies at Savannah College of Arts and Design in Savannah, Georgia.
Theater:
Dillion Vidaurri plans on pursuing a degree in Theater Performance with an emphasis in acting and directing at Sam Houston State University.
