Goode Company Fish Camp Adds New Seasonal Items to Bill of Fare

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Goode Co. Fish Camp, the newest concept from award-winning Goode Company Restaurants, debuted in May and is reeling in customers with its latest catch of Gulf Coast cuisine, relaxing ambiance and creative cocktails. And the latest “catch” are the new seasonal items being added to the menu this month!

“Our seasonal menu takes its cues from the Gulf,” says Chef/Owner Levi Goode. “What you’ll find there is what you’ll find on the menu, the best from water to table.”

The Ebbs & Flows section of the menu will be ever-changing, as it features the best in seasonal seafood and other ingredients. New dishes being added this month include Gulf Shrimp Taquitos ~ crispy corn tortillas stuffed with Gulf Shrimp, served with salsa ranchero, queso fresco and Mexican crema; Yellowfin Tuna Tostada ~ poke-style marinated tuna, smashed avocado with citrus and cilantro; Summer Heirloom Tomato Salad ~ marinated heirloom tomatoes, herb aioli and shaved summer vegetables; Gulf Royal Red Shrimp ~ mesquite-roasted, head-on shrimp in salsa mojo de ajo, a citrusy garlic sauce with herbs; Fresh Gulf Catch ~ wood-grilled Gulf catch on top of creamed corn, charred summer tomatoes and smoked bacon; and Gulf Crab Fried Rice Deluxe (serves 3-4) ~ fresh Gulf crab sautéed with rice, bean sprouts and green onions.

Elsewhere on the menu, new items include Fried Alabama Catfish served with shrimp étouffée and crab & shrimp rice; Mesquite-charred Broccolini with olive oil, lemon and Parmigiano Reggiano; and Homemade Banana Pudding layered with sliced bananas, vanilla cookies, rum caramel and whipped cream.

Like all Goode Company concepts, Goode Co. Fish Camp is rooted around the Goode family’s rich history and knowledge of regional cuisine. This new concept specifically harkens to time spent at their fish camp at Christmas Bay where freshly caught dishes and treasured memories were made. This was the inspiration for Goode Co. Fish Camp, an evolution of Goode Company’s other seafood restaurants that features a prominent fresh seafood bar, a menu of dishes reflective of the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coasts, seasonal offerings and elevated cocktails. Goode and his team took lessons learned throughout their 44-year history – including 35 years since the opening of their first Goode Co. Seafood location – and reconceptualized them in a way that fits the community, the space and the times.
