WOODLANDS WEEKEND WEATHER – May 5 - 7, 2023 – Dry is nigh
THE WOODLANDS, TX – We’ve actually broken 90 degrees for a high today, and we’re on track to repeat that tomorrow. Believe it or not, our heat index made it feel like more than 100 degrees today. The high moisture and low dew point will work together to hit our high, but fortunately things will shift soon thereafter and tonight we’ll be quickly down into the 70s. This evening just might be the sweet spot to catch the Houston Ballet at the Pavilion. Late tonight will be a strong spate of rain, but that should take care of the wet stuff for a few days.
On Saturday, we’ll see a lot of clouds forming throughout the morning, but slowly dissipating as the day progresses. For those who love to exercise (or like cheering on those who do), this looks like perfect weather all morning for the Woodforest Bank TRI triathlon event. Another high of over 90 will be tempered by some moderate winds and low chances of the occasional sprinkle. At least we’ll once again be in the lower 70s for a low to give our air conditioners an overnight break.
Sunday will be best defined as cloudy all day. We’ll only make it into the mid 80s for a high, complimented by some brisker winds out of the south. Once again, rain will threaten to appear – and occasionally will make good on its threat – in relatively mild forms all throughout the day. Why not play it safe and stay indoors and catch the Oak Ridge Boys at Dosey Doe - The Big Barn (ironically, a street away from Oakridge Dr. and right across the freeway from Oak Ridge North)? Despite a cooler day, the low will once again stay in the 70s.
After weeks of relatively moderate weather and a heat index of zero, we have some hotter and more humid days on the horizon, and chances are all next week will be wet…
